There are a lot of products and items that Texas Wine Lover has used and seen over the years that we like. If we haven’t personally tried them ourselves, we have done extensive research about them and are confident they are great. To help you save time, here are some of them listed in no particular order.
In order to learn how excellent Texas wine is, it is helpful to compare against wines from around the world.
The California Wine Club
In order to learn how excellent Texas wine is, it is helpful to compare against wines from around the world. The California Wine Club has five different wine clubs that allow you to do just that. Select from California wine, Northwest U.S. wine, and International wine.
I joined one of the clubs to see how the quality of the wines offered. I had a wonderful experience and wrote about it. I am sure you will have a similar experience and be able to enjoy some quality wines in addition to Texas wines.
As we all know, there are some excellent wineries out there, and what better way to taste excellent wines to compare to Texas wine. Beringer Vineyards is California’s oldest continually operating winery. Jacob and Frederick Beringer purchased land in Napa in 1875 which became the heart of the Beringer estate. Most likely you have heard of Beringer Vineyards wines and their award-winning wines!
Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 and today is one of the most visited wineries in the Napa Valley. I visited Sterling Vineyards the last time I was in Napa. You will want to take the cool aerial tram ride from the main entrance to the winery which sits upon a hill looking over the Napa Valley. It was an interesting wine tasting experience and of course it ended with some fantastic wines. Look at the excellent wines from Sterling Vineyards.
Beaulieu Vineyard is in Rutherford, California, and was founded in 1900. In the 1950s and 60s, Beaulieu Vineyard was considered one of the big Napa Valley producers. They are one of the largest landowners in Napa Valley with more than 1,100 acres in vines and are known for their excellent Cabernet Sauvignon.
Stags’ Leap Winery is located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. The winery’s 240 acres estate vineyard was first planted in 1893. The winery makes fantastic Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Check out the fabulous wines of Stags’ Leap Winery.
Texas Wine Lover has tested a lot of products over the years. To make it easy for you to find them to purchase, some of our favorite ones are in our shop. We wrote about some of them in a post where we introduced Stuff We Like. Here are some examples:
A lot of times we need to travel with wine bottles whether that be in the car, on a plane, or other mode of transportation. Sure, we could stuff our suitcases with clothes and try to protect those precious bottles and hope they arrive safely. But there is a better way, a wine suitcase. And the best wine suitcases out there are made by VinGardeValise. We have some of the wine suitcases in our shop along with some accessories. This is a must need wine product!
Spectrum Wine Specialties Wine Pourers
Spectrum Wine Specialties makes some really cool wine pourers. You probably have seen a lot of these with designs with animal heads, Texas colleges, and more. We have some in our shop on the website, so check them out!
Bullets and Corks in Glass
These are the coolest things we have seen. We wrote about one glass that has a real cork in the side of the glass. Literally, in the side! We reviewed this glass previously and we had to offer it for sale too. And besides corks, a company is offering a lot of products made with bullets. That’s right, there are items like a glass with a bullet through it, a corkscrew and bottle opener made with real large bullets, and more. Check out those really cool products we have in our shop!
If you need to serve a number of bottles, beverages, food, and ice at one time, a REVO barge is the best way. It is a container that holds all of those in one convenient place.
If you drink wine in Texas, you realize how hot it is and you need to safely store those wine bottles to protect your investment. Sitting them out in a wine rack in your house is not the best way. Instead, you need a wine cooler. Over the years, we have reviewed different wine coolers that help all of us determine the best ones to help store our wine.
Repour Wine Preservation System
If you are unable to finish a wine in one day, you will need to store it for the next day you can drink it. You will want to store the wine properly so it tastes just as good as it did when you opened it. To do that, you will need a wine preservation system. We recommend Repour which does a fantastic job in storing your opened wine. We did a review on Repour and you can buy them in our shop.
