The results of the 2026 Texas Vintners Cup have been announced, recognizing 12 winning wines and 25 Honorable Mentions from wineries across the state.
Part of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Uncork Texas Wines program, this year’s competition drew its largest field yet, with more than 275 entries. Master Sommeliers Jack Mason and Craig Collins joined wine journalist and competition organizer Jessica Dupuy to evaluate the wines blind over two days. The field was narrowed to approximately 50 wines before the final 12 winners were selected.
Dupuy noted improvements in balance, acidity, oak, and alcohol levels, while the judges also highlighted the strength of Rhône and Italian varieties. Twenty-two sparkling wines were entered, most made using the traditional method.
New wineries to the winners list include Missick Cellars, Reddy Vineyards, Rivenburgh Wine, and Tatum Cellars. Jaclynn Renée Wines had three wines in the final twelve, and they had two wines in last year’s list.
Here are the 2026 Texas Vintners Cup results. The 25 Honorable Mentions are divided among three sparkling wines, five white wines, 16 red wines, and one sweet wine.
