Grape stomping is one of the most popular ways to celebrate harvest season at Texas wineries. From late summer into fall, wineries across the state invite visitors to roll up their pants, step into the grapes, and join in the harvest fun.
Because grapes ripen at different times across Texas, some wineries begin harvesting earlier than others. New grape stomp events are also announced throughout the season, so we will continue updating this post as more dates become available. Do you know of a Texas winery grape stomp that is not listed? Send us the details, and we will add it!
Before heading out to stomp some grapes, keep these tips in mind:
- Check the winery’s website and Facebook page before your visit for current times, ticket information, weather updates, and any last-minute changes. You can find winery websites through the listings in our website Guide, Plan Your Trip, and mobile app.
- Use Plan Your Trip or the mobile app to create a custom itinerary with the wineries you want to visit. You can then use the app for directions while you are on the road.
- Dress for a mess. Grape juice can splash onto your legs, feet, and clothing, so bring a towel, a change of shoes, or anything else you may need to clean up afterward.
- Share your grape stomping adventures on social media and tag #TexasWineLover!
