As summer travelers continue seeking nostalgic road trips and authentic experiences, Messina Hof Winery is inviting guests to sip, stomp and celebrate one of Texas’ most enduring traditions.

Founded in 1977 and recognized as one of the pioneering families behind the Texas wine industry, Messina Hof will once again welcome visitors to its 49^th annual Harvest Festival, transforming the Estate Winery in Bryan and winery location Fredericksburg into destinations where history, heritage, and hospitality come together. With special events kicking off July 24^th and running through August 22^nd, Harvest Festival offers a uniquely Texan way to experience the season through grape harvesting, vineyard storytelling and hands-on winemaking customs that have connected families and communities for centuries.

Harvest Festival Activities:

Moonlit Harvests

• On Friday evenings, kick off the Harvest Festival with a hearty buffet of seasonal favorites and select harvest wines before heading into the vineyard to pick and stomp grapes for Messina Hof’s award-winning Ports. Guests can leave their mark on a T-shirt with wine-soaked purple footprints and toast to harvest season with a final sip of Port.

Daytime Harvests

On Saturday mornings, travelers can step into the winemaker’s shoes with interactive grape harvesting and stomping traditions, guided vineyard experiences, and wine tastings while learning the history behind Texas winemaking. Attendees can create their own purple footprint T-shirt and elevate the morning with brunch and a sangria bar through the Harvest Plus Pass.

Magical Murder Mystery Dinner

• As Murder Mystery events continue to trend in 2026, step inside Hofwood Academy for an enchanting evening where witches and wizards gather for a magical murder mystery unlike any other. Guests will navigate clues, secrets, and immersive gameplay while enjoying a three-course dinner and Messina Hof wines in the grand ballroom.

Cellar Tour & Dinner

• Indulge in an intimate three-course wine dinner paired with Messina Hof wines inside the exclusive candlelit Cellar Room. Led by the winemaker, guests will explore Messina Hof’s winemaking heritage and learn the history of the Bonarrigo family while sampling wines directly from tanks and barrels.

Sizzle & Swirl: Beef

• Enjoy a refined pairing experience where three styles of beef meet exceptional wines in a four-course feast showcasing Messina Hof’s signature Vineyard Cuisine™. Set against the backdrop of vineyard hills, this elevated evening explores rustic flavors thoughtfully balanced with premium wine pairings.

Murder in Maui

• Transport to a tropical Hawaiian escape for an evening of mystery, elegant appetizers, and immersive gameplay. Guests are invited to grab their leis and uncover hidden surprises while enjoying a three-course dinner and glasses of Messina Hof wine throughout the night.

Grand Finale Gala: Southern Summer Sunset

Guests will indulge in a five-course Vineyard Cuisine™ pairing experience featuring premium wines while supporting the region’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage. • Messina Hof continues its harvest traditions in Fredericksburg with the 14^thAnnual Hill Country Harvest Festival. Travelers and locals alike are invited to close out summer with sunset and daytime harvest celebrations featuring grape stomping, wine tastings, and vineyard traditions.
