Texas Hill Country Wineries is once again bringing wine lovers together for one of the most anticipated tasting events of the summer with the return of Barrels & Bites, happening June 12-14, 2026, across the Texas Hill Country.
This immersive, self-guided event gives attendees the opportunity to experience Texas wine country in a more intimate and elevated way. Over 20 wineries will be offering guests a choice between exclusive behind-the-scenes barrel tastings or thoughtfully curated food and wine pairings designed to showcase the creativity and craftsmanship behind Texas wine.
From sampling wines straight from the barrel with winemakers to enjoying chef-inspired bites paired with award-winning Texas wines, Barrels & Bites highlights the connection between vineyard, winery, and kitchen. It is an opportunity for guests to slow down, explore at their own pace, and discover the stories behind the wines being poured.
Each ticket holder may visit up to four wineries per day, with each winery visit limited to one experience during the event weekend. The average experience value is around $60 per person, giving the passport a total value of more than $1,100. With visits to just a few wineries, attendees can quickly see the value packed into the weekend.
New for 2026, all Barrels & Bites tickets also include admission to the Friday night Grand Tasting hosted at Ron Yates. Guests will have the chance to sample wines from participating wineries in one location while kicking off the weekend celebration.
Tickets are available for $175 per person or $300 per couple, making it an appealing getaway for both serious wine enthusiasts and casual visitors looking for a fun weekend in Texas Wine Country. Tickets can also be purchased for $35 for just the Grand Tasting.
