Grape stomping is a family-friendly activity in the late summer and fall when harvest starts taking place in Texas. Some wineries have already started so let’s get to listing the Texas wineries that have grape stomps.
Some wineries have yet to post their grape stomp events, and since Texas is such a large state, grapes ripen earlier in the east and some wineries have already held their grape stomps. This will be a work-in-progress post, so if you know of another winery with a grape stomp, please send us the information, and we’ll get it added!
When you get out this year and enjoy yourself, here are some tips:
- Check the winery’s website and Facebook page to keep up to date with times and any other important things that may come up. You can find the winery listings in our Guide, Plan Your Trip, and mobile app, which include the winery’s website links.
- Use Plan Your Trip and the mobile app to add the wineries you want to visit to a custom trip. Then take the mobile app on the road to visit them by following the app’s directions!
- Wear appropriate clothing because you will get messy, especially your legs and feet. Bring a towel, replacement shoes, etc., that you may need to clean up after you stomp.
- Tell all your friends what you are doing that day by using social media. Tag #TexasWineLover!
Enjoy some of the following grape stomps. When you go to a harvest party or grape stomp in Texas, tell them Texas Wine Lover sent you! Cheers!
