The 2024-2025 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Wine Competition results were announced and it was now time to celebrate at the Champion Wine Auction Dinner. The event was held Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Alzafar Shrine Auditorium in San Antonio.
Attendees to the event first enjoyed wines being poured by a selection of wineries that had won top awards during the competition. The tasting room provided wines from both Texas and non-Texas wineries with wineries pouring a few of their winning wines.
These were the Texas wineries that were present pouring their wines. While wines were being tasted, the awards were being presented to the wineries led by wine committee chairman Gloria Ramirez.

Frio Canyon Vineyard was awarded Best of Herd Texas Winery. They also received the Best of Show Texas Rosé Wine for its 2023 FCV Rosé Cuvée and was pouring that. Sara Bedford and winemaker Lood Kotze were present to discuss their wines.

Wedding Oak Winery was there to pour their Best of Show Rosé Wine, the 2023 Castanet Rosé along with other highly medaled wines. Mike and Lynn McHenry from Wedding Oak Winery were present.

Re: Rooted 210 Urban Winery in San Antonio had been awarded the Best of Show Texas Red Wine for its 2022 Petit Verdot. This is the first time in the history of the competition that an alternatively packaged wine has taken a champion award. Owner Jennifer Beckmann was available to pour her wines.

Michael Ros Winery was awarded the Best of Show Texas White Wine for its 2023 Albariño. Co-owner Rosann Mitrione was present.

The attendees then enjoyed a catered dinner, live and silent auctions, and music. It was an enjoyable evening with the proceeds used to support scholarship funds across Texas.
