There are a lot of features on the Texas Wine Lover (TWL) website, and we started writing about them so you can learn about them and be able to use the many resources available. We’re moving across the website’s menu with a blog post about each menu item, so let’s dive deeper into the Eat menu.
The main focus of the website Guide and mobile app is the listing of Texas wineries and their wines. But if we’re visiting wineries, most likely we need a place to eat too. That’s where the Eat menu comes in because it has listings of possible restaurants where you can eat while you are visiting the wineries.
The Search Eat menu item will show you the list of different businesses that offer food near wineries.
You can also use the filter on the right side of the results to search for a specific type of food.
Since we want all restaurants to serve Texas wine, there is a filter that can be used to show those restaurants that sell Texas wine. The Eat menu has a second menu item called Eat – Texas Wines Sold that is the same shows the same list of restaurants that serve Texas wines.
The same Eat menu and Filter are also in the mobile app.
Speaking of wanting all restaurants to serve Texas wine, please note there is a special card you can use from Texas Wine Lover that you can give to restaurants and stores to suggest they should be carrying Texas wine. You can find this card under the Fun Stuff menu on the website called Spread the Word about Texas Wine!.
A listing for an Eat listing is similar to the other business listings in the website Guide. Depending on the membership, a restaurant can list various things including the days and hours they are open. A form is also available where customers can request additional information from a business.
We hope this has helped you understand the Eat menu. If you know of a restaurant that should be listed in the Eat category, please encourage them to add their listing. Please look at all the Eat listings and support those businesses!
