Since there are over 500 wineries in Texas, sometimes it can be difficult to determine which ones you want to visit. One of the things that can help with that decision is wine trails. These are wineries that are located near each other, and they decide to form a wine trail for a multitude of reasons.

By grouping wineries together in a trail format, they can attract visitors, both nearby and distant, who are interested in exploring and experiencing the local Texas wine culture. Events are huge with a wine trail and by attending a wine trail event, you can enjoy multiple wineries that often participate in the event.

When you use the Wine Trails menu on the Texas Wine Lover Guide, the current Texas Wine Trails are displayed grouped first by those wine trails that have claimed their listings and can provide more information to wine lover visitors including all the wineries that are part of that wine trail. The search filter on the right side of the results can be used to narrow the results by name, city or zip code, or region in Texas.

The Wine Trails menu on the website Plan Your Trip and the mobile app show the wine trails a little differently. The menu item is Trips, but the icon also has the word Trails in it to signify the menu item has both Wine Trails and Trips. The top of the Trips menu can also show any current wine trail events.

But what are Trips? When you need more help in deciding what wineries to visit, Trips are there to help you. Texas Wine Lover writers have offered suggestions for a possible day trip for you. These can be trips in a certain region of Texas around some wineries near each other, or they could be a trip looking for a certain varietal of wine at wineries. We have ideas on how Trips can be used in the future so keep a lookout on what Trip may be the next to be listed.
