The development and release of the Texas Wine Lover mobile app required changes to the Texas Wine Lover website. A major addition was the Guide and Plan Your Trip that is used as the source for the mobile app. The mobile app has a lot of information, and the Guide has even more! Each listing that is in the mobile app for a winery or local business has more detailed information in the Guide.
Here are some features of the Guide on the website you may not have discovered yet. Every member (business) who has a listing on the Guide and mobile app can add many different items to their listing on the website. Instead of requiring you to go to every listing to see those items, many of them are consolidated so you can go to just one place to see a particular item.
Note: In the explanations below, we will discuss using the Texas Wine Lover website as if you were using a computer, but the same items are there on your phone in a web browser; they may just look a little bit different with the looks of the menu.

The Texas Wine Lover website menu bar has more than a few items due to the vast amount of information on the website. Let’s concentrate on the Guide menu today.
Guide menu
- The Guide menu name itself is clickable. Clicking Guide shows you the Guide’s home page. It is a home page much like the main Texas Wine Lover home page, but this is just for Guide Some of the same information we will show you below is displayed on the Guide home page too.
Plan Your Trip
- This menu item brings up the trip planner on the website so you can plan your trips to the wineries and other local businesses. You can also reach the trip planner by clicking the Plan Your Trip icon on the top left of your browser.
