There is one month a year that every Texas wine lover looks forward to, and that’s October when it is Texas Wine Month. This all started when the Texas Department of Agriculture designated October as the official month for Texas wine. October was chosen since the grape harvests are normally finished and the winemaking has begun.
One of the best ways to celebrate Texas Wine Month is to purchase a Texas Wine Month Passport from the Texas Hill Country Wineries website. This unique passport lets you visit 50 wineries in the beautiful Hill Country for the entire month of October.
With the purchase of a digital passport, ticket holders can taste at up to four wineries per day over the course of the month, as well as receive exclusive discounts on bottle purchases. Unlike past events, the passport tickets can now be used during all regular business hours of the wineries, however reservations are required at most locations, especially for weekend visits.
Passport tickets are $120/couple or $85/individual. $5 from each ticket sold goes directly to the Texas Hill Country Wine Industry Scholarship Fund. In total, more than $55,500 has been awarded to 47 Texas students working towards a degree in Viticulture, Enology, or Hospitality.
You can download a map and list of all of the wineries participating in this year’s passport event, and their website map feature is now easier to explore.
The Texas Wine Lover website’s Plan Your Trip and also mobile app can be used to help plan the wineries you want to visit. Just go to the Trips menu item and the Texas Hill Country Wineries Texas Wine Month trip. All the wineries that can be visited in October will be shown. When you decide what wineries to visit, simply click the plus (+) sign to add the winery to your custom My Plan. You can reorder wineries in My Plan and click Start Plan when you’re ready to start visiting!

Your list of wineries is very incomplete. I printed your list first and was surprised a number of our favorite wineries were not participating. I called one and they said they are. Said to look at Texas Wineries Passport website list.
You all have done a huge disservice to the wine passport this year.
You should probably contact the Texas Hill Country Wineries directly to provide your feedback. From their website, this is how you can contact them: https://texashillcountrywineries.org/pages/contact
