There’s one month a year that every Texas wine lover looks forward to. It’s Texas Wine Month in October. The Texas Department of Agriculture designated October as the official month for Texas wine. Typically, this marks the end of the annual grape harvests, and the next steps of winemaking have begun.

Texas Hill Country Wineries Passport
October 1-31
Enjoy visiting 50 wineries in the beautiful Hill Country at a bargain price! With the purchase of a digital passport, ticket holders can taste at up to four wineries per day over the course of the month, as well as receive exclusive discounts on bottle purchases. Unlike past events, the passport tickets can now be used during all regular business hours of the wineries, with reservations required at most locations, especially for weekend visits. North Texas Wine Trail

35+ wineries in the North Texas Wine Country welcome you to each of their unique tasting rooms for a special tasting of award-winning wines during the entire month of October. Wine tastings include a minimum of three tastes at each winery. Visit a few or all wineries during the month of October and taste over 100 wines made in the beautiful North Texas Wine Country! Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail Passport

Visit featured wineries in the southeast region during this month-long passport event. Tickets are $30 per person or $54 for a couple and include three tasting pours of featured wines at each participating winery. Gruene 37th Annual Music & Wine Festival, Gruene

Indulge in live music, Texas wines, craft beer, dinner, auctions for charity, and more. Cedar Break at Howard Ranch
This BOHO Country Chic event celebrates Texas Wine Month. Tasting Only Pass includes Personalized Memorabilia Glass with pairing bites and sampling from local artisans for Saturday or Sunday 12-4 p.m. at $60 per person. Sunset Wine Maker Dinner is Saturday 4:45-8 p.m. at $150 per person. This creative five-Course Pairing Dinner with five Varietals of Wine is hosted by Wine Educator Cara Collier of Wine Conversation. Valley Mills Vineyards End of Harvest Celebration, Valley Mills

Celebrate the 2023 vintage at this new, free event that includes fall decor, pumpkin carving, and refreshments. Tours are available at 5:30 or 6:30 which include tastings of new wines on the Valley Mills Vineyards website.
State Fair of Texas
