Gulf Breeze Winery is located in Victoria and is owned by Daryl Hale. The winery opened in October 2017. We stopped at the winery located on the outskirts of Victoria on a return trip from Corpus Christi.
There were already some people at the winery enjoying sitting outside at tables under the trees. We met Morgan Hale, Daryl Hale’s son, in the small tasting room where we did our tasting.
The wines are produced onsite from grapes elsewhere. We could select four wines from the following two lists:
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Pinot Noir
- Blanc du Bois – Christopher Family Vineyards, Goliad, Texas (sweet)
- Chardonnay
- Sauvignon Blanc
- White Trio
The winery also makes these naturally flavored wines:
- Acai-Raspberry Red
- Blueberry Bliss
- Green Apple Days
- Just Peachy
- Pomegranate-Wildberry Red
- Raspberry Rosé
- Summer Sangria (made with a margarita base)

Morgan Hale
The winery makes slushies which are very popular. They do sell their wines wholesale in addition to doing keg wines. When they started offering kegs, they were one of only six wineries in Texas to do kegs.
We had a lot of fun doing a tasting with Morgan and talking about wines, spirits, and other things.
