A winery makes wine and a vineyard grows grapes! Sometimes a winery can have a vineyard where they get their grapes from, but often a vineyard in Texas only grows grapes and then sells them to wineries.

How to Incorporate Wine into Your Vegan Diet

July 29, 2022 by Guest Leave a Comment

wine and fruit

These days, veganism has enjoyed an exponential rise, and many sectors have developed to make your transition to a vegan diet even better. For vegan food industries that might be trying to grow their company, NetSuite for organic food companies can help manage the supply chain for visibility, control, and improved forecasting. If you are a vegetarian looking to enjoy a lovely vegan dish with a glass of wine, here are several great ways to pair both.

Italian Wine and Tomatoes

Pairing a tomato-heavy meal with a lovely glass of Italian wine can never be the wrong choice. The sourness of the Italian red and the sourness of the tomatoes blend perfectly. With this tip, you can tell that a homemade vegetarian pizza will go well with a lovely glass of Sangiovese.

Pinot Noir or Chardonnay with Mushrooms

Mushrooms have a vast flavor profile, and they also have vast pairings. For instance, a delicious vegetarian mushroom risotto goes perfectly with the gentle oak notes of a lovely Chardonnay. Similar to how the taste of garlic pan-fried mushrooms blends perfectly with a tall glass of Pinot Noir.

Riesling and Curry

Thai curry is a remarkable dish that goes perfectly with a tall glass of Riesling. The light flavor of Riesling neutralizes the spicy plate of curry, making for a delightful vegetarian dish. However, you need to know that highly alcoholic wines will negatively increase the spice in any dish.

White Wine and Salads

You can consider an Italian salad with a tall glass of Sauvignon Blanc for a delightful weekend dinner. You should also consider the kind of dressing you use on your salad. Dressings high in vinegar are difficult to blend. Although, fruit-based salads pair perfectly with a lovely Roussanne.

Sauvignon Blanc and Asparagus

Asparagus is difficult to pair, but you could never go wrong with a classic Sauvignon Blanc. The grassy taste of the asparagus is usually hard to pair, but the sourness of the Sauvignon Blanc makes it easier to pair. Therefore, a vegetarian asparagus pasta pairs well with the Sauvignon Blanc to create a classic dish.

Port and Chocolate

This is if you are looking for something sweet. You can whip up a fresh batch of rich vegetarian chocolate. Then, you can take this with walnuts and a lovely Port for a beautiful end to an excellent meal. Port will always be a lovely choice for a dessert wine, as it plays perfectly with post-dinner treats.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Ratatouille

For a delicious seasonal dish, pair a ratatouille with a fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon. The smooth Cab will blend with the vegetarian butter and bread in a great way.

Merlot and Tofu

Tofu is another leading vegetarian dish, one that is quite rich in Asian flavors, such as a tofu stir-fry. You can pair this with a South African Merlot to get the soy flavors of the meal.

When it is time to enjoy a vegan dish, there are vast choices of sustainable and satisfying meals to align with a variety of cravings and tastes. Thankfully, several fantastic wines can amplify the taste of your best dishes.
