Kuhlman Cellars is proud to release its first ever Estate-grown red wine: the 2019 Kuhlmanation Estate Red ($42). This red blend was nine years in the making. Harvested over multiple days in August 2019, the 2019 Kuhlmanation Estate Red was fermented and then aged 20 months in French oak barrels before being bottled in July 2021.
The 2019 Kuhlmanation Estate Red is a blend of Carignan, Aglianico, and Mourvèdre grown at the Kuhlman Cellars Estate Vineyard in Stonewall, Texas. There are notes of blackberry and blueberry fruit and tobacco with firm tannins supported by good acidity. The 2019 Estate Red pairs perfectly with rich cuisine such as filet mignon, brie cheese, or rich meat and cheese lasagna.
The wine will be released at the Dog Days of Summer 2022 Release Event on July 17, 2022. Purchases made in advance will be available for pickup at the event or shipped beginning on July 18, 2022. The 2019 Estate Kuhlmanation Red can be pre-ordered here.
Delightful news. Can’t wait for the launch of first estate grown red wine!
