The Edge Featuring English Newsom Cellars

March 9, 2022 by Jeff Cope Leave a Comment

The Edge Featuring English Newsom Cellars outside

There is a new resort in Fredericksburg and it has a tasting room featuring wines from English Newsom Cellars that is located in Lubbock. Having a second tasting room now on U.S. 290 gives English Newsom Cellars lovers another location to find their 100% Texas wines.

The Edge Featuring English Newsom Cellars entrance

The Edge is open daily and has many varieties of English Newsom Cellars wines available. The very large 10,000 square foot tasting room with an equally large rectangle tasting bar in the center makes it very easy to serve their customers. Outside the tasting room is a large patio overlooking the Pedernales River.

Besides a place to drink excellent wine, the Resort at Fredericksburg has food and lodging with eight small cottages available. The Resort is the largest resort and winery in Fredericksburg with over 140 acres.

The Edge patio

When I visited The Edge, these are the wines that were available for my tasting:

  • 2019 Trebbiano
  • 2019 Reserve Viognier
  • 2019 Rainy RosĂ©
  • 2019 Red Mourvèdre
  • 2019 Tempranillo

There were many people in the tasting room when I visited who were enjoying the Texas wines. Stop by and see what the Resort at Fredericksburg has to offer with The Edge Featuring English Newsom Cellars wines.
