Sipping on the Edge 2021
This event hosted by Stoneledge Winery & Vineyard was very popular last year. On May 1 this year they will have doubled the number of wineries from last year and will have five times more vendors and also double the number of food trucks. Go to their website to get tickets.
Piney Woods Wine Festival
This popular East Texas wine festival returns on May 7 and 8. The festival will feature wineries from across East Texas. Also present will be live music, food vendors, and arts & crafts. The festival will be free to attend and require a wristband for a fee to enter the Wine Garden. More information is on the Visit Lindale Texas website.
Food & Wine Spring Festival
On May 15, Mount Vernon’s Plaza District will be the place to be for the Food & Wine Spring Festival. Stroll the beautiful downtown plaza square while enjoying wine tastings representing many regions of Texas. Enjoy artisanal foods and learn culinary secrets from local, acclaimed chefs as they conduct demos, providing guests with sample tastings and recipes. Shopping and local artists playing acoustic music will also be present. More information is on their website.
The Georgetown Swirl
Texas wine, local food, and a downtown shopping celebration will happen on the Georgetown Square on Saturday, May 22. It will include tastings from Texas wineries that will be set up outside on the sidewalks in front of downtown retail stores. Each attendee will receive a commemorative metal tumbler and will have their choice of 10 wine samples from the participating Texas wineries. The retail locations will have Swirl shopping specials for guests, so treat yourself to a few things while you’re out swirling around downtown! Tickets and more information are on their website.
