It has been over one year since we had one of these preview posts for wine festivals, and we know what we can thank for that – COVID-19. Now that vaccines are being administered and we are all used to living through a pandemic, events are happening again, and that means wine festivals too. Here are just some of the April wine festivals. See the entire list of 2021 wine festivals list on the website. Have fun!
Groovy Grapes Wine Walk
How can you beat that groovy name? The Groovy Grapes Wine Walk takes place on Saturday, April 3, in downtown Navasota. Enjoy an afternoon of shopping with local merchants and taste a variety of Texas wines. Tickets are available on their website.
Nacogdoches Main Street Downtown Wine Swirl
Downtown is popular in April as the Main Street Downtown Wine Swirl takes place in Nacogdoches in East Texas on Saturday, April 10. They sold out quickly the first time but there are more tickets available, so grab them now!
Mason Arts & Wine Festival
Mason is an up-and-coming wine destination, and you can see firsthand what we’re talking about by attending the Mason Arts & Wine Festival on April 10th. Different wineries from Mason and outside of Mason will be pouring their wines around the downtown area. The event page states the festival is free so what do you have to lose?
Spring Wine Walk at Splashway
The Spring Walk at Splashway is taking place on multiple weekends from April 9-11 and 16-18. The Splashway Waterpark and Campground will be hosting a collection of local wineries for an outdoor tasting in the Texas fresh air. In addition to the wine tasting, there will be an Artisan Market featuring local craft vendors from all across Texas, a Chili Cook-Off, and live music. You will want to know this location because there will be more wine festivals later in the year held there. More information and tickets can be found on the Splashway website.
Wine & Roses Festival
This year’s 37th Annual Wine & Roses celebration in Bryan at Messina Hof Winery won’t just be a one-day festival – it is being extended over three uniquely-themed weekends in April. April 9-11 brings a Wine & Chocolate Pairing, Estate Tours, and Waggles & Wine. April 16-18 brings a Wine & Cheese Pairing, Foodie Feast, and Cooking Party with the Chef. The last weekend of April 23-25 has the dinner Spring Release: A Moment in Thyme, VIP Reception, Spring Market, and the infamous Grape Stomp. Check the website for all the information.
