Kuhlman Cellars announced they have added a new Barrel to Bottle wine tasting to its lineup of Estate Experiences. During the new experience, guests will be able to explore the effects time has on wine through a multi-year vertical tasting of Kuhlman Cellars’ vintages.
“Vertical tastings are quite fun for wine enthusiasts,” says Kuhlman Cellars co-founder Chris Cobb. “It’s fascinating to see how a wine matures over time and how the wine develops and changes from more time in the barrel.”
Guests will explore vintage variations as well as wine maturation while tasting wines from the 2016 and 2017 vintages, plus a barrel sample of the unreleased 2018 vintage.
The Barrel to Bottle tasting includes five Kuhlman Cellars red blends:
- 2017 Marl (Silver Medal at the 2020 Concours International de Lyon)
- 2017 Reserve Merlot
- 2016 Merlot
- 2016 Reserve Merlot (Silver Medal at the 2020 Concours International de Lyon)
- 2018 Reserve Merlot (exclusive barrel sample yet to be released)
The experience aims to teach guests to taste like a pro and get more joy from wine as they take time to sniff, swirl, and sip through the Kuhlman Cellars selection of five award-winning red wines to reveal the enhancing effects that time and barrels have on wine.
The Barrel to Bottle Tasting is offered once per day on Friday and Saturday. Tickets will be $30/person, complimentary for Vina Vita Wine Club Members (up to four guests). Book the tasting on the Kuhlman Cellars website.
