I received the Boxxle wine dispensing system to review and wanted to share in this age of “stay at home and stay safe.” Literally, this is an interesting product to consider as we stock up on our favorite supplies, to include wine. This patented product comes securely packaged to ensure it arrives safely at your doorstep. The dispenser received was in an attractive stainless-steel design suitable for almost any decor. There is a black and a red version as alternate options to suit your style. The dimensions of the dispenser are slightly taller than an average wine bottle, making it an easy item to store on a bar or on the kitchen counter as it does not take up much space.
The wine dispenser holds up to four bottles of wine and comes with three easily fillable bags for you to use if you wish to use bottled wine instead. This ideally holds three liters of bagged wine so you can transfer your boxed wine into a more attractive dispenser. I took the opportunity to try the wine dispenser with a traditional boxed wine. It was very easy to get the wine bag into the dispenser and set it up for use.
The hardest part was getting the bagged wine out of the box it came in due to how tightly it was sealed securely in the boxed carrier. However, once you remove the bagged wine, it really is easy to follow the instructions that come with the Boxxle to get the bag installed and ready for use. The dispenser has a lid on the top that is opened by pushing in a small oval button which pops the lid open. Once opened, one needs to push down the inner floor of the dispenser that will push all the way down and lock into the bottom of the machine as you hear the click.
The next step is just inserting the bagged wine into the space and lining up the dispenser in the front and turning the dispenser, so the spigot faces down. Once you situate the spigot appropriately so it is aligned with the opening in front and ensure that the bag is tucked neatly in the dispenser, you then push down the lid and wait to hear it click into the locked position. You are now ready to dispense your beverage and enjoy! That simple.
I found the use of the bags included with the wine dispenser easy to use with our favorite bottled wines. We appreciated the company includes a few bags for consumers to have the option of using your bottled wine or boxed wines. Having the flexibility of being able to dispense your wine when it is convenient for you and know that once opened, it is still being stored in a manner that limits oxygen exposure and increases your ability to enjoy your wine for up to six weeks without compromising the taste and freshness of the product is very appealing.
The Boxxle website currently shows this wine dispenser is unfortunately sold out, however, we did find them for sale and available on Amazon. The ease and convenience of using this product to help preserve and ensure that you reduce wine waste and get to thoroughly enjoy every drop you paid for is a win-win in my book. Boxxle makes a great gift for others or yourself and is a cost-effective way to extend the enjoyment of your wine cellar and wines.
