Hello fall and hello wine festivals! The weather is getting cooler, so it is even more of a reason to visit Texas wine festivals. There are a lot of wine festivals in October! Here are just some of them happening in Texas. You can see the entire list of 2019 wine festivals list on the website.
Texas Wine & Art Festival
The first one to mention we have a little vested interest in because Jeff will be volunteering to pour on the Saturday and the festival is from October 5-6. The Texas Wine & Art Festival gives you a chance to visit Old Town Spring to enjoy some Texas wine and then spend the rest of the day, if there is any, to visit the shops in town. Gruene Music & Wine Festival
The four-day festival is definitely worth making a trip to New Braunfels to visit the annual wine festival any from October 10-13. Texas wines will be available on Thursday and a lot of wineries will be available on the weekend to showcase their wines. Their website has more information and how you can get tickets.
Monterey Square Wine and Arts Fair
It is always fun to go to a sip and shop wine festival where you can walk around a square shopping but while enjoying some wonderful Texas wine. You can do that in Wharton at the Monterey Square Wine and Arts Fair on October 12. The Facebook page has more information.
Texas Mead Fest
Along with wine, another popular option is mead, and what better way to enjoy the many styles of mead than at the Texas Mead Fest on October 19. The event will be held this year at Rohan Meadery and seven meaderies are scheduled to attend. The Mead Fest website has more information.
26th Annual Grape Day
Not to forget the Texas High Plains, Llano Estacado Winery will be hosting their 26th Annual Grape Day on October 26. Check their website and enjoy the wines from one of the oldest Texas wineries.
