A winery makes wine and a vineyard grows grapes! Sometimes a winery can have a vineyard where they get their grapes from, but often a vineyard in Texas only grows grapes and then sells them to wineries.

Give Her Roses and a Texas Rosé

April 26, 2019 by Lisa Mays Leave a Comment

Growers Project wines

Impress your mom for Mother’s Day with a wine and dinner she will love! After all, mom gave you the gift of life, so show her how important she is to you and how much you care.

Give her roses and give her a stellar Texas rosé! Winemaker Rae Wilson’s 2018 Dandy Rosé 100% Texas wine made its debut several months ago and just in time for summer sipping. Dandy Rosé is a dry wine with lots of fresh fruit aromas and flavors of ripe strawberries and raspberries with just enough acidity to balance it all.

If you are just learning about Texas wine, here are the wines that you definitely need to know.

Dandy Rosé

Rae has taken her passion for wine and her gift for winemaking to front and center and showing us what Texas wine is all about. Texas has a growing and flourishing wine market and her wines are leading the way.

The collaboration with The Grower Project has been very successful in producing single site, 100% Texas wines that vividly showcase the Texas terroir. By knowing which grapes flourish and then producing the best expression of them, Rae has brought forth a fabulous line of wines that everyone will love. Mom will also love the Grower’s Project Rosato Rosé, Trebbiano, and the red wine The Source. Each have their own refreshing aromas and flavors. The Trebbiano and Rosato are fresh and crisp, and The Source Sangiovese is soft and fruity with hints of cherry.

Wine For The People is another project by Rae Wilson. She is paving the way to 100% Texas wines for everyone to enjoy and experience through events and tastings all around Austin. I believe The Grower Project wines are lining up to firmly place Texas on the map as the next big terroir.

tenderloin

Dandy Rosé and The Grower Project wines are food friendly and will pair perfectly with a variety of your favorite special meals. Fire up the smoker to treat mom to a tenderloin. Get the kids involved and enjoy Mother’s Day with mom!
