Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards in Pittsburg located in East Texas will be bringing their award-winning wines to the Texas Hill Country when they open a new tasting room in Fredericksburg. The tasting room is planning to open in spring 2019 on U.S. 290.

Gerald Jones, Managing Partner-Sales and Distribution for Los Pinos, stated, “We are long overdue for expansion into one of the fastest growing wine regions in North America. For the past decade we’ve been watching wineries pop up regularly wondering if the momentum would subside, only to watch it continue to grow. Opening a tasting room in the Hill Country provides visitors a first-hand opportunity to sample and enjoy our wines without having to rely on far-reaching distribution methods due to the location of our winery in Northeast Texas – the opposite corner of the state.”

The winery has been open for 18 years in Pittsburg and customers will now be able to enjoy Los Pinos’ award-winning wines. The Texas Hill Country was selected as one of the “10 Best Wine Travel Destinations for 2014” by Wine Enthusiast magazine. The area has also been cited as the second fastest growing wine destination in the U.S. by Orbitz and one of the best places to visit in the U.S. in 2017 by Lonely Planet.

Tastings in the new tasting room will be available inside the tasting room or in a private room that accommodates up to twelve guests. The winery will also offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine on its outside terrace where various events will be held throughout the year.

The new tasting room will be located at 6009 US Highway 290 East, approximately five miles outside of the Fredericksburg city limits. Los Pinos Ranch Vineyard’s primary winemaking operations will remain in Pittsburg, Texas.
