Pen & Tell Us, a full-service marketing agency that specializes in helping food and beverage companies, has been providing their services for years. Founded in 2014 by marketing veteran, Matt McGinnis, the Austin based company is helping clients tell their story.

Pen & Tell Us has organized multiple events Texas Wine Lover has had the pleasure of attending. One of the first was The Sip, which we were able to attend at Spicewood Vineyards and later in Houston. The Sip showcased wines from four premier Texas wineries.
Another popular event was Roll Out the Barrel held in subsequent years, and this time traveling to three Texas wineries to preview the recent vintage, similar to En Primeur in France. This year’s event was just held in March. All of these events were very informative and well organized.
It does not surprise us after looking at the current list of impressive clients for Pen & Tell Us, to learn they have recently added two new clients, Pedernales Brewing Company and Pedernales Cellars.
Pedernales Brewing Co. hired Pen & Tell Us to provide a full mix of marketing services including advertising, graphic design, website design, public relations, and social media. Pedernales Brewing Co. has won numerous awards with a great line-up of beers. Pedernales brews its Lobo family of beers, and it also brews beers named for the legendary Texas-based singer-songwriter, Robert Earl Keen.

Pedernales Cellars hired Pen & Tell Us to implement marketing strategies across all online and print marketing channels with content creation, digital media, social media, and website optimization. Pedernales Cellars creates world-class wines with a focus on grape varieties that can be grown with exceptional quality in the Texas Hill Country, Texas High Plains, and its original estate vineyard started by the Kuhlken family in the 1990s.

The agency has a staff of marketing and creative experts with deep experience with breweries, distilleries, wineries, bars, and restaurants. Besides being marketing experts, the team members hold multiple beverage industry certifications and credentials. To help serve the wine industry, Pen & Tell Us has hired new team member, Daniela DaSuta, as a public relations and social media account coordinator.

Daniela is a sommelier with a passion for marketing and branding, and more than five years of experience managing all aspects of marketing, advertising, events, wine club, and social media at The Vineyard at Florence.
“We hired Daniela because she has the mix of marketing savvy and industry credentials that are a hallmark of Pen & Tell Us,” says McGinnis. “In addition to her experience as a marketing director at a winery, she also has been a part of the Texas wine scene for more than 10 years as a wine educator and wine judge. She has several sommelier accreditations including Certified Specialist of Wine, Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Advanced, and is currently in the WSET Diploma program.”
