If you are near Johnson City, you will not want to miss the Savor the Hill Country wine festival being held on Sunday, January 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The festival benefits the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce special projects including the establishment of a scholarship fund.
The event will be held at the Science Mill and there will be a large selection of wines, beers, and spirits along with great culinary treats at the festival. Here is who is scheduled to be pouring at the festival:
Wineries: 290 Vinery, Becker Vineyards, Hye Meadow Winery, Kuhlman Cellars, Lewis Wines, Ron Yates, Texas Hills Vineyard, William Chris Vineyards
Breweries/Distilleries: Altstadt Brewery, Pecan Street Brewing, Real Ale Brewing Company, Garrison Brothers Distillery, Hye Rum
Food: 4th Street Bistro – Blanco TX, Altstadt Brewery Restaurant, Aszha’s Cottage Bakery, Bryans on 290, East Main Grill, Fat Boy Burgers, Hometown Donuts Johnson City, Lady Bird Lane Cafe, Oli’s Kitchen Bar & Grill, Pecan Street Brewing, Ronnie’s BBQ, Sullivan Street Caterers, The Pairing Chocolate, Vivere Catering
Music will be provided by the Wilson String Band while you are enjoying the food and beverages. A silent auction, wine pull, and interactive exhibits are also planned.
A $50 admission ticket includes tastings from all vendors, with no additional cost for food or beverages served. So, there are no tickets to have to worry about carrying around and losing in order to get tastings.
Tickets can be purchased online in addition to the Visitor’s Center (Withers & Spaulding building, 100 E. Main St., Johnson City), Texcetera (207 N. Nugent Ave., Johnson City), and Pecan Street Brewing (106 E Pecan Dr., Johnson City).
