We received the product for review and all opinions are our own.
Dry rosé and bubbles are definitely all the rage right now. I don’t know what took so long for European style rosé to hit the U.S. market, and I don’t really care to be honest. I am just happy it is here and it’s now very accessible! Dry rosé is one of the most food friendly wines out there because it pairs with such a variety of different dishes or bites. Of course, it doesn’t have to be paired with food to be enjoyed. There are those who take dry rosé very seriously (I am in that group), but it doesn’t have to be too serious a situation to enjoy such a wine. This brings us to the fun and oh-so yummy wine up for review.
Swish Beverages has a very exciting lineup of wines to choose from. BABE, which is their canned California sparkling rosé wine was sent to us to check out, and the packaging alone got me excited. Seriously, who sends out a sample pack that is this amazing? Marketing at its finest ladies and gentlemen. I now have a pink rosé hat to go along with my pink rosé t-shirt!
You can tell by the marketing material and pink sippy straws that this wine was designed for lighthearted enjoyment. Sure, dinner at the steakhouse with a glass of bubbly rosé is always an inviting adventure, but just hanging out with good friends with a canned rosé sounds extremely fun too. This canned wine is definitely fit for just that.
The sample package we received included three cans of BABE sparking rosé, a pink ball cap, sippy straws, and a very fun and welcoming card. To me, rosé, especially bubbles, are meant for food and they simply love savory dishes. We decided to show that pink is for the guys too by pairing BABE with Texas Hill Country Whitetail homemade venison chili. The lean, savory profile with a hint of spice is just the right pairing for this can of goodness. We chose a food pairing for enjoyment, but again, this is a canned beverage built for accessibility.
Take BABE to the swimming pool, to the lake, to the river, and to the beach. With fall setting in, take it to the back yard next to the fire pit. Rosé is not only for summer my friends, this is a year round adventure for your palate. Pair it with friends, pair it with the holidays, pair it with a book while curled up next to a roaring fireplace on a cold day.
This is a quality can of sparkling rosé I can confidently recommend. It is well made, very well marketed, and is a super fun way to enjoy bubbly rosé in a convenient package. Compared to Sway rosé, which is a Texas dry rosé we reviewed a couple months back, I like it just as much. It is a California grown and produced 250ml, 12% alcohol by volume can, and comparatively speaking, Sway and BABE would look great together. Still and sparking, both are exciting and flavorful.
Next time you’re out and about, look for BABE canned sparkling rosé or check out their website.
Sip, savor, and “rosé all day” my fellow aficionados.
I would have thought you’d advocate for a Texas brand before a ‘big box’ like this. This wine is by The Fat Jewish – an Instagram celebrity and not a true wine grower or wine maker. I’m very disappointed in this post.
Sorry you were disappointed.
I thought it was very nice that maybe due to the fact my name is Babe I am going to try this wine that carries my name lol
Cheers Babe!
Did I miss the part when you described the taste? All I read was the details of your gift box and names of other Rose….. not a helpful review of the actual product.
I’m sorry you did not care for the review.
