As we have previously written about the Texas Hill Country Wineries’ Texas Wine Month Passport, the entire month of October every year is Texas Wine Month. This all started when the Texas Department of Agriculture designated October as the official month for Texas Wine. These are just some of the events happening in October.
The celebration of Texas Wine Month started early at the State Fair of Texas on September 29 in the Wine Garden. Enjoy Texas wine in the Wine Garden until October 22.
Texas Fine Wine will have its annual dinner on Friday, October 20 at Duchman Family Winery starting at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy a five-course Texas wine and Tapas dinner featuring wines from all of its winery members: Bending Branch Winery, Brennan Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery, Pedernales Cellars, and Spicewood Vineyards. Tickets can be bought here.
The first Austin tasting room called Texas Reds and Whites featuring only Texas wine has recently opened. On October 21, they will host a free educational session titled “Like This? Try that!” featuring wines from the wineries of Texas Fine Wine.
III Forks in Austin will be featuring a Texas wine tasting on October 26. The tasting will feature 40+ wines along with gourmet appetizers and raffle prizes.
Like we said, this is just a small sampling of events happening in October to celebrate Texas Wine Month. Keep following Texas Wine Lover as we bring you more information on some of these events and more as we attend them.
