Texas wineries have been winning more and more medals at international wine competitions, so we decided to see exactly how Texas has been doing in recent years. We looked at large international wine competitions who regularly receive over 2,000 wine entries every year.
Please realize that not all Texas wineries participate in wine competitions and for those that do participate, they do not all enter the same wine competitions. So, the goal here is to see the trend in recent years for specific wine competitions.
These are the wine competitions and the years we reviewed, along with top awards won that year by Texas wineries. Note that some competitions do not have all their data available anymore so there may be some missing Best Of awards.
