October is Texas Wine Month and what does that mean? Go to a wine festival and enjoy some Texas wine! Here are some October wine festivals and all the fall wine festivals are listed on our 2016 fall wine festivals page.
Gruene Music & Wine Festival
The Gruene Music & Wine Festival is a four day event running from October 6-9. Texas wineries will be present throughout the four days providing their tastings and live music will be every day. Check out the gruenemusicandwinefest.org website for schedules and to buy tickets.
Pairs Texas Antique Fair & Wine Festival
In the northeast corner of the state, the Paris Texas Antique Fair & Wine Festival will take place from October 7-8. This will be the 6th year for the festival and wine tasting, live music, and vendors will be present. See their website at paristexasantiquefair.com for more information.
San Saba Pecan Jam on the Square
San Saba is the home of two fine wineries and October 15th will be the wine festival on the San Saba square. A wine garden, beer garden, and mix station will be happening along with live music. More information is at www.pecanjam.com.
Texas Mushroom Festival
Mushrooms and wine, what a pair. The 15th annual wine festival will be held on October 22 in Madisonville, the Mushroom Capital of Texas. Information on wineries, breweries, and more is at www.texasmushroomfestival.com.
Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest
If you’re heading to the Hill Country to take advantage of the Texas Hill Country Wineries 2016 Texas Wine Month Trail for the entire month of October, then you should arrange to be in Fredericksburg on October 22 for the festival to celebrate Texas food and wine. The festival takes place on Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg and more information is available at the website www.fbgfoodandwinefest.com.
