As we have learned over the years, as a winery gets more successful, they need to expand. Recently we visited two wineries which have expanded and improved.
Perrine Winery
Perrine Winery has been very successful at wine festivals and has a strong following at their location in College Station. During our first Discover Wine Festival last year, Perrine Winery was the first winery to sell out of one of their wines.
In January, Perrine Winery opened a second location which they refer to as Perrine Winery – Dowling Rd. After visiting the new location, we can certainly see why. It gives them more room to produce their wine plus next door is the Rio Brazos Distillery and New Republic Brewing Co. Looks like a great destination to us! Here are some photos of the new location.
Mitas Hill Vineyard
I last visited Mitas Hill Vineyard a couple years ago and at the time they were just beginning to build their new facility. From the descriptions, it was going to be phenomenal! We were able to visit again recently and we were definitely not disappointed. Besides a winery, Mitas Hill Vineyard has a full-service restaurant, event center, and much more! The facility sits atop a hill and overlooks the vineyards of Mitas Hill from which they make their estate wine. If you’re in the McKinney area, definitely make a trip to Mitas Hill Vineyard!
