A winery makes wine and a vineyard grows grapes! Sometimes a winery can have a vineyard where they get their grapes from, but often a vineyard in Texas only grows grapes and then sells them to wineries.

There is a love-hate relationship between wine lovers and stemless wine glasses. Some people love them, but the problem is when drinking chilled wine and holding the wine glass, the wine soon becomes warmer from your hand touching the bowl than using a traditional wine glass. To the rescue is a solution by pubWARE with its line of stemless wine glasses. Even better, these wine glasses are unbreakable.

Unbreakable? Yes, because these are not made of traditional glass. Come back; they’re also not like other plastic glasses. The glasses are made of Eastman Tritan co-polyester which is a polymer with FDA approval for food safety. These glasses have the look and feel of regular glasses unlike others which are not made of glass.

pubWARE makes different types of unbreakable glasses but the one we will review today is the 12-ounce stemless wine glass. When I first held the glass, I thought it was like other stemless wine glasses we own. Upon closer look, I could tell it was not regular glass but it still felt and looked like one. I’m a fan of the famous brand of Tumbler glasses with their double lined walls, but looking at the pubWARE glass, I couldn’t detect a double lined wall; that’s because it’s singled lined. It was going to be interesting trying out this wine glass.

I chose a chilled wine to test with the glass and also used a traditional stemmed wine glass with the same wine. The first thing I noticed when tasting is the lip of the wine glass is unlike any other plastic glass because it had a thin lip. In fact, it was thinner than most other regular wine glasses. If you have ever taken a Riedel tasting class to compare their wine glasses and “joker” glasses, you’ll know the thin lip of the wine glass is very important. For the pubWARE glass to allow almost the same thing was really nice.

After drinking for awhile, I compared it to the regular wine glass. The stemmed wine glass’s wine was already getting warm and it was easy to detect that the pubWARE glass was still colder. If it can make this big a difference with a chilled wine, that will also hold true for a red wine.

When the wine was gone, I was a solid convert. If I was going to be using stemless wine glasses and especially drinking wine outside when I don’t want to take the chance of breaking a glass, pubWARE is going to be there for me.

The pubWARE glasses are not supposed to crack, cloud, or haze but of course I cannot verify this until after repeated use. One of the best things is they are dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and BPA-Free. If you have been following Texas Wine Lover, I do not like hand washing wine glasses so this was perfect! If you do need to hand wash glasses, we have the guide on how to do that easily. In fact, when we ran the pubWARE glass through the dishwasher, I didn’t empty the dishwasher who would have noticed the glass, and the wine glass got placed with the regular glasses!

The stemless unbreakable wine glass is sold in a set of four for $49.99 on the pubWARE website, but you can get also get them on Amazon. If you like stemless wine glasses or enjoy drinking wine outside, definitely check them out!
