There are always new wineries opening in Texas and established wineries are expanding. Here are a couple wineries in the Fredericksburg area who have recently expanded to improve the customer experience.
Kuhlman Cellars
Kuhlman Cellars has become very popular with their wine and food pairings led by a sommelier. The winery recently built an adjacent building that has tables on the first floor and an open loft on the second floor where you can enjoy a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view. The building is called the Wine Garden and will be used when more room is needed for tastings and also during wine club parties.
Pontotoc Vineyard
Pontotoc Vineyard has their tasting room on Main Street in Fredericksburg for a couple reasons. Besides the location which will attract more visitors, the owners live in Fredericksburg so the commute is much easier especially having young children. The tasting room was inside a shared space with other small businesses. Within a short walking distance from the original location, Pontotoc Vineyard has opened a new tasting room.
The new tasting room has much more room for doing tastings, wine club events, and more. Events are also being planned such as outdoor movie nights at the new location. A cellar in the restored building will be used for private wine tastings and wine storage.
