In this episode of the Texas Wine Lover podcast, we sit down with Jerry Watson, founder of Austin County Vineyards in Cat Spring, Texas. Jerry first planted a mere 36 vines of Blanc Du Bois in 1987. Over the years the vineyard has grown to three acres of Blanc du Bois and one acre of Black Spanish.
Austin County Vineyards sells their grapes to Haak Winery in Santa Fe, Texas. Jerry is one of the original pioneers of Blanc du Bois in Texas, and his trellis system has become famous statewide. To find out more about this special system, tune in to the podcast!
