July 4th is arriving quickly and as always there are celebrations around the country. Here are just some of the Texas wineries that will be celebrating with special events.
Lost Oak Winery
Lost Oak Winery will be open from 12-7 p.m. on the 4th of July. Enjoy live music on the patio from 2-5 p.m. with a glass of wine. Once Lost Oak Winery closes for the evening, be sure to head over to Burleson’s Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex for the City’s Independence Day Celebration concert and fireworks show.
Fall Creek Vineyards
Fall Creek Vineyards hosts one of its most exciting and popular events of the year, Burgers n’ Blues. Saturday, July 4th, celebrate Independence Day at Fall Creek Vineyards with sizzling hot burgers right off the grill from noon – 2:00 p.m., and spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying tastings, tours, and live music. In addition they have lots of outdoor fun in store with games of bocce ball, washers, Ping-Pong, and Frisbee Golf.
Bending Branch Winery
Bending Branch Winery will be toasting our country’s independence at Comfort’s annual 4th of July Celebration. Bending Branch Winery will have a wine tent at Comfort Park and they’ll be selling wine cocktails outside their downtown tasting room, Branch on High at 704 High St. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and live music goes from noon to midnight.
Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards
Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards will be featuring Sour Bridges from Austin on Friday and Saturday nights on the outdoor stage. Dubya’s BBQ, street tacos, Stars & Stripes menu, kid’s activities, and fireworks at dark will be happening. Table service is limited so get there early or bring a lawn chair and blanket.
Messina Hof Grapevine
Messina Hof Grapevine Winery is kicking off their Harvest Season on the 4th of July. Join them for food, wine, and fun games for the whole family. Be sure you sign up for the Grape Stomp Competition. Admission is free, and stomping tickets are available online at CellarPass.com with other tasting packages.
Flat Creek Estate
The VinoPalooza Wine Fest happens on July 4th from 4-8 p.m. at Flat Creek Estate. Celebrate Independence Day with the family at Flat Creek Estate. The annual festival is jam packed with great Texas wine, Hill Country fare, and live music. The owners and winemakers from across Texas invite you to explore great wines in a casual Hill Country atmosphere at the annual VinoPalooza Wine Fest at Flat Creek Estate.
Lost Draw Cellars
Lost Draw Cellars will be holding their Reds, Whites, & Blues Celebration on July 4th for Texas wine and more. Ben Zesch and Ben Beckendorf will provide music. Some of the areas best artists will also be there to display their artwork for your viewing or to pue.
Whistling Duck Vineyards & Winery
Whistling Duck Vineyards & Winery will be celebrating by serving complimentary hot dogs, chips, and all the fixins’ (chili, cheese, onions, relish sauerkraut, mustard, mayonnaise, or ketchup) on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Gate opens at 12 noon and they will start serving hot dogs at 1:00 p.m. until they’re gone. Boogie Allen will be returning to their Front Porch to entertain with his music from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sweet Springs Winery
Sweet Springs Winery in Weatherford will be having the band BlueFish performing from 7-10 p.m. Stop on by the winery to listen to the music.
Blue Ostrich Winery
Celebrate red, white, and blue at Blue Ostrich Winery on July 4th from 12 – 7 p.m. There will be live music on the wine deck from Brother Sharp starting at 2 p.m. Frosty frozen Sangria will be available and everyone wearing red, white, and blue will be entered for hourly door prize giveaways. Fireworks are at nearby Boggess Park in Saint Jo at 9 p.m.
