The 2014 American Wine Society Commercial Wine Competition was held early November at the Embassy Suites in Concord, N.C. More than 600 wines were entered from across North America in this competition, one of the oldest in the nation. They earned 44 gold medals and 48 double gold medals. Double gold is awarded by unanimous choice of a judging panel.
The entire results can be seen at the American Wine Society website, but here are the Texas wineries which received medals.

Jeff- Great job posting this and the Becker Library tasting on same day! Including tasting several of the the award winners. I was curious how many Texas winemakers participated in the American Wine Society competition. It is great that Becker and Perrine did so well but was surprised no other Texas winemakers were winners.

Good question Ben. It appears this might not be the biggest wine competition to have many Texas wineries participate.
