We already reported on the Texas appellation winners from the Dallas Morning News and TEXSOM Wine Competition. Out of those wineries, Texas Fine Wine wineries – Bending Branch Winery, Brennan Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery, and Pedernales Cellars – won 13 gold and silver medals at the 2014 Dallas Morning News and TEXSOM International Wine Competition. Considered one of the top competitions in the industry and one of the largest outside of California, the Dallas Morning News and TEXSOM Wine Competition received 2,729 wines from 27 states and 20 foreign countries.
Competition judges awarded Texas wines 11 gold medals in this year’s competition, with four of those being earned by members of the Texas Fine Wine group.

The Dallas Morning News and TEXSOM International Wine Competition had more than 55 judges comprised of wine critics, distributors, importers, and sommeliers, including 13 Master Sommeliers and seven Masters of Wine.
