Majek Vineyard & Winery to Open

New Texas winery Majek Vineyard & Winery will be having the grand opening of their tasting room on Saturday, March 15. The winery is in Moravia located between Austin and Houston.

However to prepare for the grand opening, there will be a soft opening starting today, March 7th through Sunday, March 9th. Be one of the first to sample their wines. Hours for their soft opening are the same as their normal operating hours for the winery: Friday, 4-7 pm, Sat-Sun, 12-6 pm.

To celebrate the grand opening, they will have live music by Austin recording artist, April Hall.  They will also offer $5 bar-be-que tasting plates by Mikeska Bar-be-que from Columbus, Texas.  Hallettsville artistic painters, Paula Patterson-Walker and Jay Walker, will be at the grand opening to host a showing of their works in the tasting room. Their art will be shown and available for sale through June.

Majek Vineyard & Winery is owned by Lynne and Randy Majek. Lynne is in charge of the vineyard while Randy handles the winemaking.

Majek Vineyard & Winery has had their website and Facebook page operating for a while now and they are ready to welcome visitors to spend an afternoon visiting in their old barn or outside with a view of the vineyard.
