We visited The Blue Armadillo Winery before this blog started. I attempted to go back last weekend but unfortunately learned the winery closed July 27, 2013.
Joe Anselmo and Friendlee Place were the owners of the Blue Armadillo Winery in Greenville. Friendlee met Joe Anselmo of Carmela Winery in March of 2008 and began the partnership. The winery was in a one hundred plus year old building and they restored it into a winery.
The photos we have here are what we took on our first visit because they would help us remember what the wineries looked like we were visiting.
This is just another example to support your local winery and drink local wine!

Jeff, Joe is family friend. I had no idea he was involved with this winery. I knew he was in Prosper. If you see him again, tell him you know Bill Sportsman’s daughter. Watch his jaw drop!
