On Saturday, August 3rd, the Hye Meadow Grand Opening will take place from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The winery will still be a little rough around the edges but the tasting room will be complete and they are excited to be hosting a grand opening party.
All Facebook users who have Liked the Hye Meadow Winery Facebook page have been watching intensely with the construction of Hey Meadow Winery. It has been very interesting watching the progress from foundation to building of the winery. We were fortunate to visit with some friends on Memorial Day weekend. The buildings were done but there was still work to be completed like the tasting room which will be ready for the August 3rd Grand Opening.
Hye Meadow Winery owners, Mike and Denise Batek, had a good friend Joe Dalton go to check out the property and write a song for the winery. Mike wanted Joe to cover Garth Brooks song, “Friends in Low Places”, fitting since the Hye Meadow Winery wine club is called “Friends in Hye Places.” But Joe went to the property, drove the country roads, and as Mike said, “got all mushy.” He ended up writing an original song for the winery called “Hye Meadow.” They will be passing out CDs at the Grand Opening event and Joe Dalton will be providing acoustic live music from 12pm-3pm on August 3rd.
Also available on August 3rd will be food from the award-winning Peached Tortilla food truck. I’m sure the covered patio and tasting room, along with the gorgeous property under the oak trees, will have plenty of wine lovers enjoying Hye Meadow Winery’s wines.
I’ve also heard there “may” be a special surprise treat with one of Hye Meadow Winery’s wines. Take a trip on August 3rd and enjoy the Hye Meadow Winery Grand Opening!
