It’s not every day you can stroll the streets of Granbury with your favorite Merlot in hand, so you won’t want to miss your chance this spring! The fourth annual Granbury Wine Walk will kick off April 25-27 on the Historic Square Plaza in downtown Granbury. Booths will open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, allowing participants to experience the vast selections of true Texas amenities: authentic wine, food, music and art.
The Wine Walk will begin with the prominent “Sip & Savor” VIP event on Thursday, April 25. At this event, attendees will enjoy a taste of Texas with succulent selections from Dallas-Fort Worth’s favorite celebrity chefs including Tiffany Derry (“Top Chef” Season 7 fan favorite, Private | Social, Dallas), Lou Lambert (“Big Ranch, Big City” cookbook author, Lambert’s Steak and Seafood, Fort Worth), Eric Hunter (Fire Oak Grill, Weatherford), Chris Garcia (Del Norte Tacos, Godley), Kevin Martinez (Tokyo Café, Fort Worth) and Molly McCook (Ellerbe Fine Foods, Fort Worth) as well as wine from participating Texas wineries. The evening will close with the announcing of the coveted People’s Choice award, given to the favorite dish and wine of the evening. The VIP event will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at a private lakefront estate.
The swirling and sipping will commence again Friday, April 26, with tastings from approximately 15 Texas wineries. A list of participating wineries is available on the Granbury Wine Walk website, www.granburywinewalk.com. Visitors can enjoy live music while strolling through the outdoor booths offering savory selections and genuine wine collectibles. The Lake Granbury Art Association will host a wine-themed art show and sale during this time.
Proceeds from the Granbury Wine Walk will benefit two local organizations: Mission Granbury and Preserve Granbury.
