There are a lot of wine festivals in the spring and summer and they are growing all the time as people enjoy getting together and enjoying wine together.
One of the newest wine festivals is the 2013 inaugural Pittsburg Art and Wine Festival located in the Historic District of downtown Pittsburg will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The wine festival is sponsored by Carla and Robert Peoples, owners of The Holman House Bed & Breakfast and Pittsburg Main Street Program.
The festival will showcase great wines from The Piney Woods Wine Trail including Los Pinos Ranch Vineyard of Pittsburg, Enoch’s Stomp Vineyard of Harleton, Crump Valley Vineyards of Sulphur Springs, and Maydelle Country Wines of Rusk. The event will also feature several extraordinary artists and art societies from the East Texas area displaying and selling their pieces to the public as well as music and local culinary treats for purchase.
Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival tickets are only $5.00 which includes a souvenir glass. Wineries will be on hand to discuss and sell wines by the taste, the glass, or bottle.
Pittsburg is located in the center of North East Texas located on U.S Highway 271 and State Highway 11 and only minutes from I-30 and an hour from I-20.
