Most likely there will be a little break between blog posts as Thursday we make our first trip to the High Plains. Since it is at the other end of the state (Texas is a HUGE state!) we have a full schedule planned during the days as we do not know when we will be able to get back to the High Plains.
We are looking forward to visiting the area where most of the quality grapes in Texas are grown. A special guide will be taking us to different vineyards to see them first hand. We don’t know what he has planned so it will be exciting. Look forward to a blog post about our vineyard day!
But what is a visit to the High Plains and Lubbock without visiting some of the biggest and best wineries in the state? It will be fun visiting the wineries and meeting some of the people who I talk to only on Twitter or we follow on Facebook.
Oh, and after our trip of visiting the wineries there, we will have crossed the 150 mark on the number of Texas wineries we have visited. I never really thought it was a goal to visit all Texas wineries, but since Jeremy Parzen (http://dobianchi.com) once mentioned that in his regular Houston Press blog, why not? What fun!
Look for the first blog post next week and until then, get a bottle of Texas wine and cheers!
