Update: We visited Wedding Oak Winery again and the famous Wedding Oak tree after they opened. Please be sure to read the latest here.
We previously visited San Saba Wine Cellars during their construction. Before opening in early June, the name of the winery has been changed to Wedding Oak Winery. Even though some wine labels and other items have the previous name, fortunately the name change has happened before the official opening.
Since two wines had the name of Wedding Oak in the title as in Wedding Oak White and Wedding Oak Bridal Blush, the name change was easier. The name Wedding Oak comes from a historic Wedding Oak tree in San Saba located just northwest of the winery which has served as a symbolic marriage site for over 400 years.
If you’re keeping a list of wineries to visit, be sure to update the name and look for Wedding Oak Winery’s opening in early June.
