The top winners in the 2015 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition were recently announced. Along with that announcement, it stated they judged wines from 43 Texas wineries. I am not sure where they got that number because according to the official results of all medals, there are 46 wineries in the list that operate a winery in Texas. There is a wine trail in the state which is turning into a destination to visit and that is the Texas Independence Wine Trail. The 2014 Houston Wine Fest was held this past weekend and it again was an indication of how to not put on a wine festival. The fifth installment of the Houston Wine Fest showed that the organizers of the festival have not learned anything in past years as the festival keeps getting worse. Let me give you a little history of the Houston Wine Fest. The festival is usually held at the end of September except for this year.
