2013 Spring and Summer Wine Festivals

Time again as the weather gets nice to venture out and enjoy some wine festivals! If you live near a festival, consider also volunteering to help a winery pour during the festival. We have met some great people from the Texas wineries, either representatives or the owners themselves. Here are the 2013 spring and summer wine festivals we are aware of in Texas. If we missed any or confirmed dates come up, please let us know and we’ll be glad to update the list. Simply add the information in a comment. Cheers! wine festival

  1. Jeff Great Service both to us winery folks and to those who enjoy drinking our wines. From the winery perspective it is really great to have these all in one place. there are getting to be so many wine festivals in Texas that we have to select those to attend — can’t do them all as in years past. In years past we’ve gone to Lubbock and Houston and lots of places in between. With more festivals we are focusing on those that are most likely to bring us business [Duh!] — which narrows the field and helps keep us a bit saner. Good Job!

  2. Hey Jeff:

Could you do the same for wine trail events? For example Way Out Wineries is doing a trail event starting next weekend .. and some of your readers might like to know that…

    For Immediate Release

Mardi Gras – Think fun, food [Shrimp Etoufee, Cajun Kitchen Sink Stew, a variety of Gumbo styles, Jambalaya and more], beads, doubloons and adult beverages. Laissez les bons temps roule! The best part is you can enjoy all of this on a weekend Road Trip between the south edge of the DFW Metroplex and the north edge of the Hill Country, and you have two weekends to do it. February 2-3 and February 9-10 you can visit the 11 members of the WOW [Way Out Wineries] Trail and enjoy all of the above and not have to take time off to be in New Orleans on February 12 [Fat Tuesday/ Mardi Gras].
At each of the 11 wineries you’ll get their “New Orleans” food specialty, taste at least 3 wines, some beads, a doubloon that is real spendable money – in a truly Mardi Gras party atmosphere. At your first winery you’ll get a souvenir tasting glass, and they’ll rinse it for you so you are ready for your next tasting. Tickets and more information at http://wayoutwineries.org/

  3. Jazz Wine Train, March 22nd and 23rd, Grapevine TX

    Evening of Chocolate and Wine:
    Friday, April 5, 2013. 7 – 10 p.m.
    Delaney Vineyards – Grapevine, Texas

Main Street Days, Grapevine TX. Same weekend as Taste of Addison, 17-19 May.

    • Thanks V.!

      • Hi Jeff,

I put the correct link for the Jazz Wine Train above. The one I had included previously was a general link to the events calendar for Grapvine.

        Cheers!

PS: If you come to any of the Grapevine events (Blessing of the Vines, Jazz Wine Train, Main St Days, look me up. I’ll be working all in my volunteer capacity as a Grapevine Wine Pourer, just look for the maroon vests and khaki/tan slacks!).

  4. Hey Jeff! I wanted to let you know that we are hosting our VinoPalooza again in July…it will be on Thursday, July 4 from 4pm – 7pm…working on booking bands right now. And then in October we will host Grape Jam again on Sunday, October 20 (also 4pm – 7pm).
